CBT / Psychotherapy

Cognivitve Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy

are used to help people solve problems, achieve goals,

and manage their lives by treating a variety of mental health

and emotional issues.

These forms of therapies are used to treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, phobias and addictions (smoking, alcohol etc) by changing your perceptions of the problem, thereby allowing new solutions to be considered. Depending on the needs of the individual, I will either use hypnotherapy alone or in conjunction with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and/or Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

CBT is a dialogue between client and therapist about how the client wishes to view their future and what change they would like to bring about. The client usually has the answers to the issues already within them, the therapist simply helps the client access these answers to bring about a positive change.

These therapies are designed for relieving distress and suffering by interrupting destructive patterns of thought and behaviour, creating a new positive and achievable focus for the future.
